Bio
Writer, educator, and creative producer: I build stories and the spaces that help them thrive. My short fiction has been published in various outlets, and I am currently editing my debut novel, The Clear Sky, with my critique group that I co-established in 2024.
For over five years, I have tutored creative writing, English, and philosophy, supporting writers and students to sharpen their craft and confidence. I also run regular children’s creative writing courses during school holidays at Blue House Bookshop, where I focus on making storytelling imaginative, accessible, and fun.
Since April 2025, I have served as Managing Director of York Creatives. In this role, I have led the Walmgate Reframed project in partnership with the University of York and City of York Council via funding from York and North Yorkshire Combined Authority. Alongside this, I've helped deliver various other projects and events, including those in partnership with the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Blue House Bookshop, University of York Literature Department and York Lit Fest. I am currently developing a new large-scale literature-based project to be delivered in York and North Yorkshire.
I’m driven by the belief that great storytelling can transform individuals, communities, and places and that creativity is essential to our wellbeing as a society.
